Hemp is considered one of the most ancient cultures of human civilization, used for the most different applications, from the production of fabrics and ropes to food and construction.

Industrial hemp, having minimum levels of THC, does not cause any psychoactive effects. Thanks to the endless uses of this plant and the rediscovery of its properties, the hemp industry in the world is constantly growing.

Hemp is a plant easy to grow, which does not require special attention and is very resistant to pests, which allows reducing treatments with pesticides. In addition, it is also able to condition the soil, absorbing excess metals and toxins, and then reclaiming contaminated soils. A plant capable of correcting mistakes made by man.

Thermal insulation, energy saving, sound insulation and fire resistance. Then combining the Hemp fiber with that of wood, it is possible to get panels suitable for furniture and design.

With the Hemp it is possible to make a high quality paper, thin and durable, which in the past replaced the modern paper produced by the crumbled and bleached tree wood with chemical processes.

In 1937 Henry Ford created the Hemp Body Car, largely made of Hemp and fed with hemp ethanol. In 1955 the cultivation of hemp was banned in the US, so the car never went into production. The use of Hemp in the automotive sector was taken over by the English house Lotus in the 2000s.

At the beginning of the twentieth century, Italy was among the first worldwide producers of Hemp. In 1940 the country 90 thousand hectares of its territory were dedicated to the cultivation of hemp. One of the oldest uses was the production of fiber: the fabrics that are obtained from Hemp are soft, fresh in summer and warm in winter, absorb moisture from the body and release it outside, are very resistant and have the a particular feature of absorbing infrared and UVA rays up to 95% and of shielding from electrostatic and electromagnetic radiation. It is also a natural fabric, which has not undergone any type of chemical processing.

Until the 1930s ropes, ropes, nets, but also harnesses for pack and pull animals were made.

Hemp seeds can be used for human and animal food IF consumed or transformed into oil and flour. The properties of the seeds were recognized by the Ministry of Health with a Circular on May 22, 2009. Free of THC, they are in fact rich in omega 6 and omega 3 and lend themselves well to vegan and vegetarian diet as they are rich in proteins that include all the essential amino acids, in optimal proportion and in an easily digestible form.

Obtained by cold pressing of Cannabis sativa seeds, Hemp Oil is a vegetable oil rich in essential fatty acids with strong antioxidant, immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties, currently the subject of scientific studies and research. Along with fish oil and flaxseed oil, hemp oil is one of the few plant sources of alpha linolenic acid.

CBD is the second most important compound of cannabis. The cannabis plant contains many different cannabinoids: 80 different ones have been discovered, and there seem to be many more. Unlike THC, CBD (cannabidiol) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, and does not cause the “peel” effect. In contrast, CBD has an antipsychotic effect, in addition to being appreciated for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, muscle-relaxing, analgesic, anti-uric, anxiolytic and for its anticonvulsive effects detected by several studies.

Products based on CBD: capsules, crystals, oils, inflorescences, creams.
